Faith Based and Preschool Program

The Faith Based and Preschool Program has been developed to help ensure the children of Southwestern Indiana have quality early childhood experiences and brighter futures. In addition to providing higher quality faith based programs and preschools, the goals of this program are:

  • To provide families with a way to make informed choices when choosing a preschool.
  • To support professional development of preschool teachers.
  • To recognize and reward faith based programs and preschools who show they are committed to quality improvement of their early learning programs on an on-going basis.

The Faith Based and Preschool Program provides onsite technical assistance, group networking, information about accreditation or the Voluntary Certification Program (VCP), and funding for quality improvement. Funds are available to preschool programs to assist programs who have completed most of the work to obtain accreditation, but may have a specific barrier that requires financial assistance.

With support from the Welborn Baptist Foundation and Partnerships for Early Learners, 4C is now offering this program in fourteen counties: Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Orange, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Warrick and Vanderburgh counties.
