POSITION PUPOSE: Assist early childhood programs in increasing continuous quality improvement through assessments, on site visits, trainings, resources and leadership.

 Provide relationship/research based technical assistance strategies which promote continuous quality improvement and ensure all Paths to QUALITY™ goals are achieved
 Support and implement a collaborative model of coaching which includes coordination with partnering agencies
 Adhere to State and CCRR system Paths to QUALITY™ policies, procedures, and standards of service delivery
 To assist child care providers with making quality improvements to their programs, with a focus on Paths to QUALITY™ level advancement
 Compilation, entry, and distribution of information pertinent to the program (feedback) in a timely and purposeful manner
 Openly communicate with program administrators about best practices
 Support program administrators in plans for improvements with research, technical assistance and training
 Maintain comprehensive tracking system on each program, including assessments, Paths to QUALITY™ action plans, level advancement plans, order forms, summary of visits and trainings offered
 Offer resources and training and use evaluations to determine effectiveness
 Distribute and collect any surveys and evaluations that are needed
 Schedule visits in a timely and consistent manner
 Individualize services based on the needs of the program
 Return emails and phone calls within one day or request 4C staff to do so
 Maintain confidentiality regarding programs, staff and 4C
 Update databases with client/contact summaries
 Research, create and deliver early childhood specific trainings
 Contribute thoughtfully to meetings and work groups
 Openly accept flexibility with tasks as they arise
 Actively participate in marketing Paths to QUALITY™ to prospective participants
 Maintain knowledge of best practices in early childhood through research and other avenues
 Maintain organized provider files, along with timelines for activities at 30, 60, 90, and 120 days
 Work closely with OECOSL to ensure all non-cash awards are received; troubleshoot issues
 Assist in the recruitment, planning, and creation of Child Care Online profiles for eligible providers

 Excellent verbal, computer, and writing skills
 Strong organizational ability

 Maintain confidentiality regarding 4C programs, procedures, policy, staff, and clients
 Return emails and messages within one business day
 Be cognizant of the impact the position has on the overall mission of the agency
 Attend required team meetings with a positive, solution-oriented attitude

 Works in a clean, well-lit, temperature controlled office
 Moderate to extensive travel

 Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Consumer or Family Sciences, Education, or related field
 Credentialing related to position, when available
 A minimum of 12 credit hours in early childhood related coursework
 A minimum of 3 years related experience

We are searching for a full-time childcare director for a new start-up at The Well on Evansville’s Northside. We have a tentative open date in January 2018. We are looking for a motivated person with strong organizational, leadership, and personal relation skills. The candidate must hold a degree in Early Child or Elementary Education.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations: adhering to church guidelines, licensing requirements, health regulations, and fire codes.
• Oversee communication with prospective and current parents
• Recruit, train and retain quality daycare staff. Oversee staff scheduling and other personnel-related matters.
• Manage the finances of the daycare effectively and within budgetary guidelines. Ensure all finance-related record keeping requirements are met.
• Oversee curriculum development
• Manage Children’s ministry volunteer staff

• Degree in Early Child or Elementary Education
• Experience in early childhood education
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Strong customer service skills (both written and oral)
• Proficient in office software
• Experience with budgeting

Evansville Day School (EDS), in partnership with parents, offers a student-centered, college preparatory program supported by a challenging and comprehensive curriculum that encourages each student from Junior Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 to strive for excellence in mind, body, and human spirit. EDS was founded in 1946 and remains the only independent school in the Southwest Indiana (tri-state) region. The school enrolls approximately 300 students and boasts a 40 acre wooded campus, an impressively diverse student body, and 100% four-year college placement.

Job Description:

This position works with the Jr. Pre-K lead teacher in delivering a premier, experiential-based program to Day School’s youngest students. A successful assistant teacher manages the classroom effectively with compassion, energy, attention to detail, organization, and play and communicates effectively with colleagues, students, and families.

This position is full day (7:40am-3:15pm) and includes after school meetings and activities as needed.


• Serve as Co-Teacher to approximately 18 Jr. Pre-Kindergarten students.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the lead teacher.
• Model, uphold, and reinforce positive, appropriate behavior with students.
• Perform regular Preschool duties during meetings, snack, transitions, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, parents, and staff.
• Protect and enhance the physical well being of students.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head of School

• Associate’s Degree required; four-year degree preferred. Coursework in early childhood education a plus.
• Experience teaching Preschool age students.
• Excellent work ethic, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
• Passion for education and the EDS mission.
