High Point Child Care Learning Center is now hiring several Co-Teachers for our 1, 2, and 3-year-old classrooms for full-time employment for our Evansville child care center. Our ideal candidate has some education in Early Childhood or Elementary Education. Job responsibilities include serving all enrolled children’s primary care needs, including but not limited to teaching from approved lesson plans, creating lesson plans, maintaining age-appropriate room environments, maintaining safety regulations, diaper changing, and food service. We are an Indiana State-licensed center serving Evansville for full-day child care needs (6:30 am - 5:30 pm), and we strive for the highest standards in continuing education, professionalism & service. We offer competitive wages in the industry, paid holidays, Paid Time Off after 1 year's employment, and dental/supplemental insurance; no major medical is offered at this time. High Point Child Care Learning Center is seeking a highly motivated individual who can run a single-member kitchen for a busy child care center serving approximately 100-120 children. Responsibilities include all cooking, dish washing, maintaining proper sanitation procedures, recording temps, etc. Ideal candidate will have at least one year's previous kitchen experience plus Safe Food Handlers training or Serv Safe Certification; however, certification is not required. Child care cooking experience ideal. Must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check by fingerprinting, a drug screen, TB test and physical to qualify. High Point Child Care Learning Center is seeking several part-time staff members for our facilities in Evansville, IN who have some education in Early Childhood or Elementary Education and/or professional child care experience. These positions help cover for teachers Monday through Friday by floating in a variety of classrooms. Shifts needed are 6:30 AM-12:00 PM, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, 12:00 PM-5:30 PM, and 3:00 PM-5:30 PM. Positions ending at 5:30 PM also help close classrooms down in the afternoons. If interested, contact Terri Swain at 812-425-8687.

QUALIFICATIONS: CDA required or 12 hours in Early Childhood Education and working towards Degree. Experience working with infants/toddlers. Knowledge of safety issues, illness concerning infants/toddlers. Skills in patience, time management, remaining calm, talking with parents. Ability to be flexible, capture nurturing moments, react and move quickly, research needs of infants/toddlers. Bilingual/Spanish a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to supervise and responsible for the operation of the classroom.
Provide and maintain a safe and nurturing environment
Work with infants warmly, calmly and in an unhurried way.
Meet the social-emotional, physical and development needs of individual infants and toddlers.
Sufficient physical health which would require individual to: lift 45 pounds or more, squat, kneel, bend, stand, walk/run on uneven surfaces, climb stairs, sit on floor, participate in outdoor activities daily
Document all feedings and the amount, the time of diaper change and what type, potty training times.
Maintain regular daily attendance and report to work at scheduled times.
Generate and submit required paperwork.
Provide children opportunities to export a variety of sensory and motor experiences, development of self awareness, autonomy and self-expression, gross and fine motor development.
Involve parents and families in all aspects of the classroom. And encourage families to become involved in workshops, trainings, volunteering and other Early Head Start activities.
Continue professional growth by participating in any education classes, training programs
Make at least two home visits per each child per program year.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.

COMPONENT: Children’s Services

POSITION: Associate Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS: Eighteen (18) hours in Early Childhood Education and actively pursuing Associate’s Degree. Good communication skills. Experience in an Early Childhood Program preferred. Required Driver’s License, own transportation. Bilingual/Spanish a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to love and respect children and families.
Assist in the planning of educational experiences for the children inside and outside the classroom.
Assist in carrying out the planned educational experiences.
Sufficient physical health required.
Ability to read, speak and write with proficiency in the English language.
Knowledgeable about children’s growth and development.
Assist in the completion of a developmental assessment for each child within 45 days of enrollment.
Assist in documenting on-going assessment for each child using the Anecdotal Record Card (ARC).
Assisting in preparing and maintaining reports.
Make at least 2 home visits for each child per program year.
Basic computer skills.
Maintain regular daily attendance and report to work at scheduled times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
